Step-by-step guide
Set it up once. After that it just works.
The setup is intentionally simple. First you configure the portal from your own laptop. Then you install the app on the user's computer and pair it to your setup. From that moment, the user can use it independently.

From your own laptop or phone. You don't need to be with the user yet.

πCreate an account
Go to clearlyscreen.com, click Try 30 days free and complete signup. You receive a welcome email with your admin URL and profile code.
πAdd buttons
Add the buttons the user needs: websites, contacts, email, phone. A photo makes a button instantly recognizable. Start with the essentials. Adding more later takes seconds.
π₯Add contacts
Name, phone number, photo. Tick Has WhatsApp where applicable. Want to bundle contacts under one button? Use the Contacts collection button.
π‘Optional: HELP button and check-in
Under Safety, set the emergency contact for the HELP button, and optionally enable daily check-in. Both are optional. Skip this if the user doesn't need it.
Phase 2 of 2

On the user's computer. Do this once, after that everything runs by itself.

On their computer, go to clearlyscreen.com/download and download the Windows app. Open the file to install. If you see a SmartScreen warning: More info β Run anyway.
πPair it to your portal
Open the app. Enter your profile code and PIN (both are in your welcome email). The app remembers the pairing forever and now starts automatically with the computer.
β Done
The start page is up. The user can use it right away: press a button, call, email. The app replaces hunting for icons and menus. No instruction needed.
And then?
Nothing. The user presses the buttons you set up and does what they've always done, but without the hassle.
